Print E-mailJuly, good grief where has the summer gone? Then again where is summer? I’m writing this on June 13 and we still are having a hard time getting into the 70’s. Just about all of our rides have been rained out for this month also. Hopefully July will be better!
Wing Ding is this month, but there are only a few people going to it that I know of. July 4, I will be in Hilbert on First Street at my mother’s place for the biggest little parade in the state in the morning. They throw candy for the kids there. My little nieces and nephew each end up with an ice cream bucket full of candy. Yes, a few of my friends even pick it up.
Any time you feel like a ride and would like a few people with you, just let me know. I can put it out as soon as I can get to my computer. Be sure to check your computer often, you never know when there will be a posting.
On July 8, we will meet at the BP Station on CB and American Drive for an 8:30 departure. This month’s breakfast place will be at the Manawa Sunrise Cafe. On July 12 at 11:00 a.m., we will have our Social at Dan and Linda Gigstead’s home at 3149 N. Durkee St, Appleton and a ride after. Brats and hamburgers will be provided. Bring a dish to pass along with whatever you want to drink. RSVP is a necessity no later than July 6, so I know how much meat to buy. July 15 at 6:30 p.m., we will have an Ice Cream Ride from the BP Station on CB and American Drive. We will have a leisurely ride to a local ice cream place. Bring with you your favorite place to have ice cream, I like ideas.
