Chapter V November 2009 
Boy oh boy, the way this year has gone, will we be able to ride at all this month? As I write this, they are calling for rain and snow this coming weekend. It’s not even mid October. I don’t think any one of us got as much riding and/or camping in this year as we wanted. I’ve been trying to camp the last two weekends and too much rain. This coming weekend, like I said, snow and rain with a high of 45, for October 11? Well, let’s hope that November will be the break through month for some nice riding. I will send out an e-mail for this month’s Breakfast Rides.
The Breakfast Rides have been great this year. Give me your thoughts about continuing them through the winter months. You can bet we never run out of things to talk about at these breakfast rides. I guess that holds true for any of our get-togethers.
Things to do this month are a little light.
Our social will be at the Old Country Buffet on West Wisconsin Ave. by the mall on Sunday, November 15, at 4:00 p.m. No need for an RSVP. I will try to get tables in the back room.
The 2009 Christmas Social will be held at the Grand Meridian, located at 2621 N Oneida St. The reservation is for Sunday, December 6, at 11:00 a.m. They will have an area set aside for our group. Pay at the door and remember to ask for a senior discount. Their age limit is quite low (55=5% discount). The price, I believe, is $10.95 before a discount. The Chapter will pick up the tip for the group. Weather permitting, Linda will be joining me so we can thank you all for a great year.
